Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Vivi Hsu (許加玟).
Born in Taiwan and educated at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business, Vivi Hsu has spent more than 15 years building commercial relationships across Taiwan, North America and Latin America.
Her experience covers both sides of international trade. In Taiwan, she worked with Decathlon sourcing, auditing and developing manufacturers for its global supply chain. In Latin America, she led market development, distribution and channel operations for international technology companies including ASUS, Xiaomi and Cooler Master.
Today, Vivi is the founder of Smart Concept, an established Chilean importing, e-commerce and brand-representation company. She works directly with international brands, Asian suppliers and leading Latin American retailers and marketplaces on procurement, commercial negotiation, logistics coordination, brand localization and market development.
Vivi has also served as President of the Junior Chapter of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in Chile and as Regional President for Junior Chamber organizations across Latin America. She conducts business in Mandarin Chinese, English and Spanish.
In 2023, she was selected as one of ten recipients worldwide of Taiwan’s Global Young Entrepreneur Stars Award, presented by the Overseas Community Affairs Council.

Vivi has served as President of the Junior Chapter of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in Chile since 2022. From 2022 to 2024, she also served as Regional President, coordinating Junior Chamber organizations across South America, Central America and Mexico. Through these roles, she has led multinational teams, organized regional business events and developed relationships within the overseas Taiwanese business community. This experience gives Connect Taiwan a broader cross-border business perspective than a conventional translation or administrative-assistance service.
Vivi works in Mandarin Chinese, English and Spanish and has used all three languages throughout her international career in supplier communication, commercial negotiation, distributor management, product training and business development. Her role goes beyond literal translation: she helps clients communicate objectives clearly, recognize commercial and cultural nuances, ask the right questions and understand what a supplier’s response means for the potential business relationship.
