Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 3 September 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of connectaiwan.com and the sourcing, supplier verification, consultation and business support services provided by Connect Taiwan ("Connect Taiwan ", "we", "us"), a sourcing and trade consulting business based in Taipei, Taiwan and operated by Vivi Hsu (許加玟). When you purchase or use our services, you are contracting with Connect Taiwan .
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing this website, submitting an enquiry, or purchasing any service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or our services. If you are entering into these terms on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind that company; if you are contracting as an individual, you confirm that you are of legal age.
2. Our services
We provide founder-led consulting: sourcing support, supplier and factory identification and verification, meeting coordination, interpretation, trade show and travel support, and related advisory work. Services are delivered remotely and in person in Taiwan, and are scheduled by agreement. Consultation hours are delivered by Connect Taiwan personally and are advisory in nature; we are not a party to any contract you enter into with a supplier or manufacturer.
3. Your responsibilities and acceptable use
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Do not use our website or services for any unlawful purpose, fraud, spam, or to obtain restricted, counterfeit or prohibited goods.
- Do not infringe the intellectual property rights of Connect Taiwan or any third party.
- Do not interfere with the security or operation of the website, including through malware, probing, automated scraping, or attempts to gain unauthorised access.
- Keep any account credentials or scheduling links confidential; you are responsible for activity carried out under them.
4. Intellectual property
Connect Taiwan retains ownership of the website, its content, branding, templates, checklists, reports and all related intellectual property. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use deliverables for your own internal business purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, or reverse engineer our materials without written permission. You retain ownership of the information and content you provide to us, and grant us a limited licence to use it solely to deliver the services.
5. Service level and disclaimers
We take professional care in delivering our services, but we do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not guarantee any specific commercial outcome, supplier performance, pricing, delivery timeline or product quality. Supplier verification reduces risk but cannot eliminate it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed.
6. Bookings, payments and taxes
Services are booked by submitting a booking request on this website. No payment is taken at the time of the request. Connect Taiwan reviews availability and confirms the booking; once confirmed, we send payment instructions — a payment link or an invoice for bank transfer. Your booking is confirmed only after payment has been received.
Larger sourcing, business development and customised projects are normally invoiced by bank transfer against an agreed scope. Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise, and applicable taxes are added to the invoice where required.
7. Refunds
Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy, which offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on purchased services.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to our website and services in the event of material breach of these terms, non-payment, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination, any unused, paid-for consultation hours will either be delivered or refunded in line with our Refund Policy, unless termination results from your fraud or unlawful conduct.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the services is limited to the fees you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, business, data or goodwill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Connect Taiwan against claims, losses and costs arising from your unlawful use of the services, your breach of these terms, or the content and information you provide to us.
11. General
These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan, and the courts of Taipei, Taiwan have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or business transfer. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. We may update these terms from time to time; the date above shows the latest revision.
